Troops Rescue 31 Worshippers in Kaduna Terror Attack

On Easter Sunday, Nigerian troops foiled a terrorist attack in Ako Village, Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State, rescuing 31 church worshippers who had been abducted during a service at the ECWA Church. The Nigerian Army confirmed the incident, stating that troops responded swiftly to a distress call regarding the abduction.

Upon mobilization, the troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce firefight, leveraging superior firepower to force the attackers to abandon their captives. Although 31 hostages were rescued unharmed and are currently receiving medical attention, the operation was marred by the tragic loss of five individuals who were killed during the attack.

The military reported evidence of significant casualties among the fleeing terrorists, including blood trails along their escape route. The Nigerian Army has intensified its pursuit of the assailants and deployed additional troops to enhance security in the area, reaffirming its commitment to national security and urging public support for security agencies.
