Arokodare Scores Twice as Ajax Advances in Conference League
Tolu Arokodare scored a brace in Ajax's 5-3 victory over Sion on Thursday night, securing a 9-5 aggregate win in the UEFA Europa Conference League playoff tie. This match marked Arokodare's first competitive start for Ajax after joining on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.
He scored his first goal in first-half stoppage time, converting a cross from Abdellah Ouazane. Arokodare added his second goal just six minutes into the second half, again assisted by Ouazane.
His performance showcased his growing importance to Ajax, contributing to a total of four goals and two assists in five appearances across all competitions since his arrival.
