Arokodare Scores Again, Ajax Falls 3-1 to PSV

Arokodare, currently on loan from Wolves, scored his fifth goal of the season for Ajax in a 3-1 defeat against PSV in the Eredivisie at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Saturday. PSV opened the scoring in the fourth minute through Ricardo Pepi, who headed in a cross from Ruben van Bommel.

Arokodare equalized in the 23rd minute with a low shot that found the far corner, marking his fourth consecutive match with a goal for Ajax. However, PSV regained the lead just before halftime with a volley from Lutsharel Geertruida.

Esmir Bajraktarevic secured the win for PSV with a goal in the second minute of stoppage time. Ajax's goalkeeper, Matej Kovar, made five saves, but the team could not overcome PSV despite having 19 attempts compared to PSV's 13.

The loss leaves Ajax without a win in five home games and six points behind PSV, although Ajax has a game in hand. Arokodare last played for Nigeria in November 2025 and aims for a recall to the national team.
