Akpabio Calls for Prayer and Humility on Ash Wednesday

On Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of the Lent season, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Nigerian Senate, called on Christians to engage in prayer, seek repentance, and embrace humility. In a statement delivered by his special adviser, Hon. Esem Eyiboh, Akpabio reminded Christians of their mortal nature, urging them to reflect on their lives and seek forgiveness.

He highlighted that this season is a time for introspection and strengthening one's bond with God. Akpabio also reassured that the legislative body would continue to promote laws that foster unity, peace, and understanding among Nigerian Christians and the global Christian community.
