Asiko Energy Completes 5000MT LPG Terminal in Lagos

Asiko Energy Holdings has successfully reached mechanical completion of its 5000 metric tons Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Propane terminal located in Ijora, Lagos. The completion ceremony took place on a Tuesday, with the first gas cargo anticipated from Nigeria LNG Limited and other suppliers in November 2026.
This terminal is part of a larger integrated gas infrastructure project that will eventually include twelve 250 cubic meters tanks and a 30,000cbm fully contained LNG terminal, scheduled to commence next year. The facility features five 1,000 MT propane-rated tanks and a 1.7-kilometer underground pipeline connecting to three jetty points at Apapa Port.
Funded by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund, the project aligns with the national Decade of Gas agenda. Mr. Alex Ogedengbe, Chairman of Asiko Energy Holdings Board, emphasized the project's significance for Nigeria's gas utilization and economic development.
Managing Director Mr. Felix Ekundayo noted that the terminal will facilitate the distribution of gas previously isolated and exported, enhancing domestic supply.
