Outrage As Vigilante Assaults, Strips Female Corps Member In Anambra

A female corps member in Anambra State, Jennifer Edema Elohor, was assaulted and stripped naked by armed men suspected to be members of the Operation Udo vigilante group. The disturbing incident, captured in a video shared by the Haven360 Foundation on Facebook, sparked outrage nationwide, with calls for a thorough investigation and justice for the victim.

The Special Adviser on Community Security to Governor Chukwuma Soludo confirmed the involvement of an operative in the assault and stated that the individual has been arrested and detained pending further investigation. The assault occurred during a joint security exercise involving the police, army, Department of State Services, civil defence, and the state security outfit.

The Anambra State Government reaffirmed its commitment to citizen safety and stated that abuse of power by security operatives would not be tolerated.
