Aston Villa Signs João Gomes from Wolves for £34 Million

Aston Villa has officially signed Brazilian midfielder João Gomes from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The transfer deal is reported to be worth £34 million, with an additional £4 million in potential add-ons, according to British media reports.

Gomes, who is 25 years old, made 41 competitive appearances for Wolves during the last season, which ended with the club finishing at the bottom of the Premier League and facing relegation. Prior to joining Wolves in 2023, Gomes played for the Brazilian side Flamengo, where he made 130 appearances and scored eight goals.
