Damilola James Nominated APC Deputy Governor for Lagos

Princess Damilola James has been nominated as the deputy governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, running alongside Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for the upcoming 2027 elections.

At 42 years old, she makes history as the youngest person ever nominated for this office in Lagos. Born into the royal lineage of the Kweme Kingdom, Princess Damilola has a strong background in grassroots work, having served as a supervisory councillor in agriculture and social services in Badagry West LCDA.

She has also built a career as a certified ESG risk expert, consulting for major corporations, including Bolt Nigeria. In 2020, she was part of the technical committee that reworked Lagos State's youth policy to align with United Nations inclusivity standards.

Despite facing challenges, she has remained loyal to her party and earned a reputation as "Sisi Eko." Her expertise in governance and sustainability was recognized nationally when she won the Nigerian Risk Award.
