ASUU Suspends Two-Week Warning Strike After Government Negotiations

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its two-week warning strike in Nigeria following negotiations with the government. The strike was initiated due to the government's failure to implement agreements related to salary payments and university funding.

ASUU President Prof. Chris Piwuna announced the decision after discussions with the government representatives.

The move aims to address issues such as salary arrears, sustainable university funding, and protection of victimized staff. The Nigerian Labour Congress was also involved in the resolution process.
