Arewa Think Tank Urges Patience for Tinubu's Reforms

On the occasion of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 74th birthday, the Arewa Think Tank convened a prayer session in Kaduna, urging Nigerians to exercise patience and support the president's ongoing reforms. Moham Alhaji Yakubu, a representative of the group, highlighted the importance of prayer for the nation's leadership during challenging times, dismissing calls for the president not to seek re-election, stating that it is premature to judge his performance after just three years.

Yakubu expressed confidence in the administration's progress, despite acknowledging ongoing challenges. Former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Tijani Kaura, defended the president's reform approach, likening it to rebuilding a damaged structure, and emphasized the need to allow the president to complete his reform process.

Issa Aremu noted signs of progress in economic reforms, including an increase in the minimum wage from N30,000 to N70,000. The event brought together religious leaders and political figures, reflecting growing support for the administration across northern Nigeria.
