At the America 250 event in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, Tein Jack Rich, President of Belema Oil Group, advocated for stronger U.S. engagement to unlock Nigeria's and Africa's economic potential. He received the prestigious U.S. 250 Year Friend Award from Eric Trump, attended by senior U.S. congressional members, including Representative Jim Jordan, and various business leaders and dignitaries.

Rich described the recognition as a pivotal moment, emphasizing the importance of amplifying Nigeria's voice and strengthening Africa's position in U.S. policy and investment discussions. He stressed the necessity of a strategic partnership with the U.S. that goes beyond merely sourcing raw materials, urging the U.S. to view Africa as a long-term ally.
