Tinubu Launches Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road Project

On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially launched the 122-kilometre Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road project, fulfilling a campaign promise made over three years ago as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress. Represented by Governor Uba Sani, Tinubu's visit to Birnin Gwari in December 2022 was notable due to the area's severe security challenges at the time.

Governor Sani emphasized that the road is crucial for connecting the North West to the South West, impacting five states up to Lagos. The project has an approved budget of N178 billion.

He acknowledged the late General Lagbaja for providing military support during Tinubu's campaign visit and praised Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, for facilitating the project's funding. Sani expressed gratitude that residents can now travel safely within Birnin Gwari without police escorts, marking a significant improvement since the area had not seen road development in two decades.

The project symbolizes the dividends of peace and Tinubu's commitment to Kaduna State.
