Atiku Abubakar Condemns ADC Office Burning in Rivers

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar condemned the burning of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) office in Ubima, Ikwerr Local Government Area, Rivers State, which occurred on Thursday night. He described the incident as a dangerous threat to Nigeria's democracy, highlighting a troubling trend of attacks on properties belonging to political opposition members.

Atiku warned that these attacks reflect an attempt to weaken opposition parties and could escalate into direct violence against their members. He emphasized that the incident goes beyond partisan politics and threatens democratic principles.

Atiku urged President Bola Tinubu's administration to ensure the safety of opposition members and their properties, calling for an independent investigation into the attack to ensure justice is served. He also mentioned that the ADC's assault on democracy must be addressed to prevent further violence against opposition members.
