Buhari's Ex-Aide Critiques Atiku's Leadership Credibility

Okoi Obono-Obla, a former aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has publicly criticized Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, asserting that Atiku lacks the moral ground to rescue Nigeria. Obono-Obla pointed out that Atiku has held significant political office for years but has not achieved meaningful progress.

He specifically referenced Atiku's role as Chairman of the National Privatization Council, where he oversaw the privatization of nearly ten thousand public enterprises. Obono-Obla described Atiku's current calls for reform as hypocritical, given his past actions.

He also warned against politicizing insecurity in Nigeria, suggesting that a thorough analysis would reveal that the country's kidnapping rates are relatively low compared to nations like South Africa and Cameroon. Obono-Obla emphasized that young people deserve to know the truth about politicians who have held important positions without delivering results.
