US Lobbying Firm Demands Release of Tinubu's Records

The United States lobbying firm Von Batten-Montague-York, associated with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has renewed calls for the release of records concerning President Bola Tinubu’s alleged involvement in heroin trafficking. The firm stated that US law enforcement agencies, under President Joe Biden, have refused to release documents despite multiple Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests made by transparency activist Aaron Greenspan.

These requests, identified by FOIA numbers 1588244-000, 1593615-000, 22-00892-F, 24-00201-F, and EOUSA-2023-002028, were directed to the FBI, the Department of Justice, and the DEA. A US District Judge, Beryl Howell, ordered the Biden Administration to release the files in 2025, but no documents have been disclosed.

The firm plans to engage with anti-drug organizations and victims of heroin abuse regarding Tinubu's alleged links to drug trafficking. Atiku has criticized the Presidency for its handling of petitions related to Tinubu’s 1993 civil forfeiture case.
