Atiku, Obi, Ribadu Attend El-Rufai's Mother's Funeral

On Sunday, prominent Nigerian political figures attended the janazah funeral prayer for Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. Notable attendees included former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.

The funeral prayer took place at the Nation Mosque in Abuja. Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani was also present, along with other dignitaries.

Atiku Abubakar confirmed his attendance and offered prayers for the deceased, expressing condolences and wishing strength and comfort to Nasir El-Rufai's family. Hajiya Umma El-Rufai passed away on Friday in Cairo, Egypt, where she was receiving treatment for a severe illness.

Earlier, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had paid tribute to the late matriarch following her passing.
