Atiku Abubakar Expresses Sympathy for Lagos Flood Victims

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria and the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress in the 2027 general elections, issued a statement on Tuesday expressing his sympathy for residents affected by the recent flooding in Lagos State. He lamented the devastation caused by the floods, which disrupted the lives and livelihoods of many, including families, motorists, and business owners.

Abubakar extended his heartfelt sympathies to all those impacted by the ongoing flooding and emphasized the importance of unity and support among Nigerians during this challenging time. He reminded the public of their strength in standing together and supporting one another.

The flooding, which began on Sunday, has severely affected various parts of Lagos, including Gbagada, Iyana Ipaja, Ikorodu Road, Ikeja, Maryland, Mushin, Ogudu, Lekki, Oshodi, Agege, Alimosho, and Obalende, leading to significant traffic gridlock across major highways such as the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
