Atiku Sends Birthday Message Amid Amaechi's ADC Rejection

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, sent a birthday message to Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transport, on Wednesday. This message came after Amaechi publicly rejected the results of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary, alleging widespread voter disenfranchisement and electoral malpractice.

In his message, Atiku referred to Amaechi as a "brother" and "fellow patriot," commending his years of service to River State and Nigeria. Atiku wished him good health and strength for the coming year.

In contrast, Amaechi described the outcome of the ADC presidential primary as a "concocted result," stating that he would not accept results that do not reflect the values of the ADC. He claimed that 80 percent of party members across the country were prevented from voting during the exercise and accused the ADC of engaging in similar electoral manipulation during its own primary.
