Fayose Predicts Atiku's ADC Ticket, Dismisses Obi's Chances

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, has predicted that Atiku Abubakar will obtain the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 elections. He expressed skepticism regarding Peter Obi's chances of becoming president, stating that Obi's appeal is more personal than party-driven.

Fayose noted that the ADC faces significant challenges and may collapse without sufficient electoral support. He highlighted that Obi, who previously served as the governor of Anambra State and was a presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, finished behind Bola Tinubu and closely trailed Atiku Abubakar.

Fayose dismissed the possibility of Obi returning to the Labour Party, citing internal divisions within that party. He emphasized that while Obi's influence is notable, it is not enough to secure the ADC's presidential ticket for the upcoming elections.
