Atiku's Son Resigns as Commissioner After Fintiri's Defection

Adamu, the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, resigned from his role as Commissioner for Energy Development in Adamawa State. His resignation, dated March 2, 2026, comes shortly after Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his resignation letter addressed to Governor Fintiri, Adamu expressed that his decision was a result of deep personal reflection and consideration. He described his time in office as a privilege and expressed gratitude to Fintiri for the opportunity to serve.

Additionally, Adamu thanked the people of Adamawa State for their support during his tenure and prayed for God's guidance and strength for the state.
