Barewa RFC and AJ Sharks Win Atlantic Rugby 7s Titles

Barewa RFC clinched the men's title at the Atlantic Rugby 7s tournament held at Rugby School Nigeria in Lagos, defeating Cowri RFC with a score of 19-0. The tournament showcased Barewa's dominance through disciplined defense and effective possession.

In the women's category, AJ Sharks emerged champions by narrowly defeating Edo Queens 7-0. The tournament was described as a strategic platform aimed at revitalizing domestic rugby and strengthening competition nationwide.

Azeez Ladipo, the general manager of the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation, stated that the event was designed to provide crucial game time for players and identify emerging talent across the nation. The competition featured 11 teams drawn from various federations, including representatives from Kano, River, Edo, Ogun, and Lagos states.
