Atletico Madrid Signs Kang-In Lee from PSG for €40M

South Korean international Kang-In Lee has officially joined Atletico Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain, with the Spanish club announcing the transfer on Saturday. Lee has signed a contract that extends until June 30, 2031.

The transfer fee is reported to be approximately 40 million euros ($45.5 million), excluding bonuses. Lee, a 25-year-old left-footed midfielder, is known for his vision, ball control, and passing ability.

He previously played for PSG, where he scored 16 goals in 124 appearances and won 12 trophies but faced limited playing time under coach Luis Enrique. Lee was an unused substitute in PSG's last two Champions League finals and suffered a thigh injury in January.

This transfer marks Atletico's third signing of the summer, following Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand and Spanish full-back Alejandro Grimaldo. Additionally, Antoine Griezmann has left Atletico for Orlando City in Major League Soccer.
