NSCDC Unveils Tactical Training Ground in Abuja

On Sunday, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), commissioned a Tactical Training Ground at the FCT Command Headquarters in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

This state-of-the-art facility is part of Audi's initiative to transform the NSCDC into a more elite and mission-ready force, emphasizing capacity building as essential for professionalism. The training ground is designed to simulate real-life operational scenarios, enhancing personnel's physical endurance, tactical proficiency, and mental resilience.

Audi stated, “No security organization can deliver excellence without first investing in the competence of its personnel.” The project was led by Dr. Olusola O.

Odumosu, the FCT Commandant, aligning with Audi's transformation blueprint. The NSCDC's expanded mandate includes disaster management, counter-terrorism, and regulating private guard companies, positioning it at the forefront of Nigeria's internal security.

The Tactical Training Ground aims to produce officers equipped to respond effectively to emerging threats.
