NSCDC Launches Tactical Training Ground in Abuja

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has unveiled a tactical training ground at its FCT Command Headquarters in Abuja, aimed at enhancing the operational effectiveness of its officers. Commandant Olusola Odumosu led the initiative, which includes training in obstacle crossing, endurance drills, tactical movement, and disaster response exercises.

During the commissioning ceremony, Prof. Audi described the facility as a strategic investment in the Corps' future, emphasizing the need for well-trained personnel to address evolving security challenges such as terrorism, banditry, and cybercrime.

He stated that training is essential for operational performance and that a confident officer provides better service. Prof.

Audi also stressed the importance of inter-agency collaboration in tackling security threats. He commended the FCT Commandant for the project and announced that the Minister of Interior, Dr.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has directed the upgrade of the facility into a standard training center.
