Nigeria Auto Industry Summit to Focus on EV and CNG Transition

The 2026 Nigeria Auto Industry Summit is scheduled for July 30, 2026, at the Radisson Hotel Ikeja, Lagos, focusing on the transition to electric vehicles (EV) and compressed natural gas (CNG) in Nigeria. Organized by the Nigeria Auto Journalist Association (NAJA) in collaboration with the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), the summit aims to bring together policymakers, investors, financial institutions, fleet operators, and technology providers to deliberate on the future of clean mobility in Nigeria.

Major automotive companies, including Weststar Associates, Toyota Nigeria, Jetour Nigeria, and others, have confirmed their participation. Keynote speakers, including Bola Tinubu's administration representatives and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), will address road safety and regulatory frameworks for deploying EVs and CNG vehicles.

The summit will provide a platform to assess ongoing reforms and develop practical strategies to advance Nigeria's clean mobility agenda, focusing on reducing transport costs and carbon emissions while attracting private sector investment.
