Nigeria's Auto Summit to Address Clean Mobility Future

The 3rd Nigerian Auto Journalist Association (NAJA) summit is scheduled for July 30, 2026, at the Radisson Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos. The summit will focus on Nigeria's clean mobility future, emphasizing the transition to cleaner and sustainable transportation solutions, including electric vehicles (EVs) and compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles.

The event will be attended by high-level stakeholders, including policymakers, vehicle manufacturers, energy providers, transport operators, and financial institutions. The chairman of NAJA, Theodor Opara, stated that the summit aims to generate practical solutions to reduce transport costs, strengthen energy security, and accelerate economic growth.

The summit will also feature presentations from industry leaders, including Ismael Ahm, director general of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), and Joseph Osanipin, corporate marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). Rashe Bisiriyu will lead discussions on emerging EV and CNG projects, addressing challenges such as high vehicle acquisition costs and inadequate infrastructure.
