Expert Warns of Looming Monopoly in Nigeria's Jet Fuel Market

Dr. Richard Aisuebeogun, a former managing director of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), cautioned about the risk of a monopoly in Nigeria's aviation fuel market during a colloquium.

He highlighted the dangers of a single dominant supplier manipulating prices and inefficiencies in the sector. Aisuebeogun emphasized the need for strong regulatory oversight to prevent monopolistic practices and ensure fair competition.

Thoma Ogungbangb from CITA Energy also spoke on the importance of domestic refineries reducing import dependence to stabilize supply and enhance quality control in the jet fuel market.
