Nigerian Aviation Fuel Marketers Address Operational Challenges at Industry Event

Aviation fuel marketers in Nigeria, represented by Chinedu Ez, have identified key operational setbacks hindering the smooth supply and distribution of aviation fuel, particularly Jet A1, to airlines in the country. Issues such as inadequate regulations, poor product quality, market proliferation, and lack of effective regulation have been pinpointed.

Dr. Thomas Ogungbangb, the CEO of Cita Energy Limited, recommended specific regulatory oversight by bodies like the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) to address these challenges.

The industry also faces constraints in pricing, supply chain, infrastructure, and storage, with a need for enhanced monitoring and enforcement.
