Only Direct Descendants Eligible for Awujale Throne Contest, Says Adeleke

Prince Adeleke Adeyemi of Fusengbuwa Ruling House has stated that only individuals with direct blood ties to the family can contest for the Awujale throne in Ijebuland. Adeyemi emphasized the hereditary nature of the throne, requiring aspirants to be descendants of the ruling house.

He clarified that the Chiefs Law of 1959 mandates that only eligible members of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House can vie for the vacant Awujale position to maintain the lineage's integrity and continuity. This declaration aims to uphold the traditional succession process and ensure the rightful heir ascends to the Awujale throne.
