Boko Haram Attack in Borno Claims Many Lives

In a coordinated early morning attack on Wednesday, Boko Haram militants targeted Borno State, specifically Ngosh Town in the Gwoza Local Government Area. The assault began around 4 AM and continued until daybreak, resulting in numerous civilian and military casualties.

The terrorists invaded the military base of the 82 Division Task Force Battalion, 26 Brigade, and also attacked a camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs). Sources indicate that the militants ransacked the community in search of soldiers, burned military vehicles, and made away with unquantified ammunition.

Reports confirm that Nigerian soldiers and civilians were killed during the attack, while others fled into the bush to escape the violence. The assault highlights the ongoing security challenges posed by Boko Haram and its factions in the region.
