Atiku's Camp Dismisses Babachir Lawal's Allegations

Atiku Abubakar's camp has responded to allegations made by Babachir Lawal concerning the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary process. Phrank Shaibu, a senior special assistant to Atiku, characterized Lawal's claims as a "cocktail of bitter conjecture" lacking factual support.

Lawal, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, accused the ADC of manipulating the primary process during a television interview. However, Shaibu pointed out that Lawal failed to provide any verifiable evidence, such as documents or witness statements, to substantiate his allegations.

Shaibu further criticized Lawal's claims as contradictory, arguing that they underestimated the judgment of ADC party members. He suggested that Lawal's criticisms stem from disappointment over the ADC primary outcome and accused him of attempting to undermine Atiku's support among Christian communities in the Middle Belt.

Shaibu concluded that Lawal's grievances have led him to make baseless accusations against Atiku.
