Pastor Tunde Bakare Urges Sweeping Reforms in Nigeria's Justice Sector

Pastor Tunde Bakare delivered a keynote address at the Chief Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture organized by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ikeja branch, urging for sweeping reforms in Nigeria's justice sector to tackle pervasive corruption. He highlighted issues such as political interference, conflicts in court judgments, and the erosion of public trust in the judiciary.

Bakare emphasized the need for ethical reorientation starting from law schools, promoting honesty and discipline in legal practice. He recommended collaborative efforts with independent bodies like the ICPC and the NBA to conduct regular audits and ensure judicial autonomy and accountability.
