Dr. Danladi Bako Commends Sportsville Award Ceremony

In a letter dated March 26, 2026, Dr. Danladi Bako, a former Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission and a traditional titleholder in Sokoto, commended the Sportsville Award for its role in recognizing outstanding sports personalities across Nigeria.

He described the award as an authentic representation of the country's sports history. The 6th edition of the Sportsville Award ceremony is scheduled for April 3, 2026, at the Country Club in Lagos.

Bako congratulated the award recipients, particularly Mr. Kwame Arthur, for their passion and commitment to mentoring upcoming sports talents.

Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission, and Frank Ilaboya, Chief Executive Officer of Sportsville, also expressed their support for the event. Dr.

Godwin Ehigiamuso, CEO of LAPO Microfinance Bank, praised the organization of the award ceremony, which is expected to attract significant attendance from sports professionals in Nigeria.
