Bala Mohammed Meets APC Amid Defection Speculations

On Thursday, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State convened a meeting with representatives from the All Progressives Congress (APC) amid signs that he may be preparing to defect from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The meeting included members of the Bauchi House of Representatives, although their names were not disclosed.

The discussions were held at the governor's special invitation and aimed to address ongoing political realignments in Nigeria, particularly in Bauchi State. Governor Mohammed indicated that significant political developments are expected to occur soon, suggesting that a conclusion to these discussions will be reached in a short period.

He previously met with stakeholders from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as part of his consideration of options ahead of the upcoming elections.
