Bala Mohammed Considers Leaving PDP for ADC

Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi, is contemplating his exit from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) due to ongoing internal crises, which have been exacerbated by the Supreme Court's nullification of the PDP's national convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State. He has confirmed discussions with opposition leaders Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso regarding potential alliances.

Mohammed has expressed a preference for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a more stable platform for the upcoming elections. He met with Bola Tinubu, the President, and APC national chairman Nentaw Yilwatda, but talks collapsed over disagreements on party structure control.

Mohammed has stated that he will not contest for the presidency but will seek the Bauchi South senatorial seat. He emphasized the need for a stable platform and has been consulting with various political parties to secure his candidacy in the forthcoming elections.
