PDP Reconciliation Committee Led by Bala Mohammed, Saraki

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, and former Senate President Bukola Saraki to lead a reconciliation committee aimed at resolving the differences between two factions within the party. This initiative follows the party's internal crisis leading up to the national convention set for November 15-16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The reconciliation process is expected to begin during the Sallah festival. The committee will consist of seven members, including Tanimu Turaki, who represents one faction, while Nyesom Wike will lead the opposing faction's committee.

The factions have agreed to meet during the Sallah festival to discuss their demands and work towards a harmonious resolution. The outcome of these meetings will be crucial, as any agreements reached will be binding for the party members.

The PDP's internal issues have intensified following a court ruling that nullified the previous Ibadan convention.
