Bauchi Police Enhance Security to Combat Banditry

The Bauchi State Police Command announced a significant deployment of security personnel and enhanced weaponry to address banditry in troubled communities, specifically targeting Gwana and Kafin Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government Area. This decision was communicated during a press briefing by police spokesman Nafiu Habib on Thursday.

The deployment is part of a joint operation involving the police, military, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, aimed at curbing criminal activities and preventing a breakdown of law and order. Habib noted that the move follows a thorough security assessment and is expected to yield positive results.

Despite recent security challenges, he reassured residents of Mansur Town that the situation remains under control, and no cause for alarm exists. Sani Omolori Aliyu, the state commissioner of police, emphasized the importance of community cooperation in tackling insecurity and urged residents to report suspicious activities to security agencies.
