Military Deployed to Alkaleri LGA Amid Bandit Attacks

In response to ongoing bandit attacks in Alkaleri Local Government Area (LGA) of Bauchi State, the Federal Government has deployed military personnel to the region. This decision follows an appeal from Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed for federal intervention.

Major General Eyitayo Foluso Oyinlola, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, confirmed the deployment, highlighting the military's proactive measures to address the emerging threat in the area. The operations will include both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies aimed at restoring normalcy and enhancing security.

Governor Mohammed, during a visit to Major General Oyinlola, expressed gratitude for the military's commitment to protecting lives and property. The military's strategy involves intensified clearance operations, surveillance, and collaboration with security agencies to dismantle criminal hideouts and disrupt armed group movements.
