Bandits Abduct Six in Sokoto Village Early Morning Raid

In a predawn raid on Gazau Village in Isa Local Government Area, Sokoto State, bandits abducted six individuals on Monday at 1:00 AM. The attack resulted in a total of 13 people being taken, comprising 12 women and one man.

The assailants invaded several homes and later retreated to the Dan Adama forest. During the attack, the bandits identified themselves and stated they would release one person for every two individuals from a household.

Ultimately, six individuals were taken, while seven others were freed. The abducted individuals were named as Asab Zakariya, Inno Ibrahim, Inno Musa, Umma Yusuf, Safina Abdullahi, and Saminu Jijji.

Sources indicated that the bandits threatened to continue launching daily attacks on the village unless residents sought amnesty. Sharehu Abubakar Kamarawa, the chairman of Isa Local Government Area, was unreachable for comments, and the Sokoto State Police Command spokesman, DSP Ahmad Rufai, also did not respond to calls.
