Bandits Kill 13 at Wedding in Kaduna, Many Abducted

On Sunday night, around 11:47 PM, bandits attacked a wedding party in Kahir Village, located in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the deaths of 13 guests and the abduction of an unspecified number of individuals. Shehu Bala confirmed the incident, stating that the assailants, armed with AK-47 rifles, opened fire on the attendees, causing several injuries.

Victims were rushed to Kagarko General Hospital, with two individuals suffering severe injuries being transferred to Kaduna. The names of the deceased include Bako Danjuma, William Luka, Peter William, Joseph Yakubu, Victor Peter, John Dan, Asab Angulu, Marku Maikano, Aribi Dougla, John Ado, Yakubu Zaphaniah, Alhaji Joseph Kaddah, and Franci Unguwa Doya.

The attack led to widespread panic in the community, prompting residents to flee into the bush. A police source from Kagarko confirmed the kidnapping incident, although the exact number of abducted individuals remains unknown.

The Kaduna State Police Command's spokesperson, DSP Hassan Mansur, stated that a comprehensive report would be issued later.
