Bandits Attack Wedding in Kaduna, Kill 13 and Abduct Guests

On Sunday night, around 11:47 PM, bandits attacked a wedding in Kahir Village, located in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the deaths of 13 individuals and the abduction of an unspecified number of guests. Shehu Bala, a resident, confirmed the incident, stating that the attackers, armed with AK-47 rifles, stormed the wedding hall and opened fire on the attendees.

Several victims sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to Kagarko General Hospital, while two others with serious injuries were transferred to Kaduna for further treatment. The exact number of abducted individuals remains unconfirmed.

During the attack, the bandits also raided local shops, stealing foodstuffs and drugs. The community leader, who spoke anonymously, reported that the entire area was thrown into chaos due to the gunfire, prompting people to flee into the bush.

DSP Hassan Mansur, the spokesperson for the police, confirmed the killings and abductions, stating that a full report would be issued once details are verified. The deputy governor of Kaduna State is expected to visit the injured at the hospital.
