Bandits Abduct Seven Family Members in Kaduna Attack

On Thursday night, around 9:32 PM, bandits attacked a compound in Kaduna, abducting seven family members. The incident was confirmed by Marku Yakubu, a local leader, who received a distress call from residents during the attack.

The bandits, armed with sophisticated weapons, invaded the compound quietly without firing shots, which may have been a tactic to avoid attracting attention. They abducted members of the Amo family, including Jummai, Barnaba, Iko, Babi, Eunic, Eshiwan, and Godwin, as well as three neighbors: Bagudu Damisa, Evelyn Damisa, and Alfr Iriyo.

The attack occurred near the house of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Katari, which may explain the lack of gunfire. Local security sources confirmed the abduction and reported that attempts to reach security operatives were unsuccessful.

The Kaduna State Police Command's spokesman, DSP Hassan Mansur, did not respond to calls or text messages regarding the incident.
