Armed Men Kidnap Family of Three in Kaduna Attack

On Monday, armed men kidnapped a family of three in the Kyauta Community, located on the outskirts of Millennium City in Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State. The attack occurred around midnight, with gunfire reported to scare residents.

Initially, five individuals were abducted, but an elderly woman was later found abandoned in a forest after she could not keep pace with the kidnappers. The wife of the house owner discovered her absence an hour later.

Following the incident, two boys, who are relatives of the victims, alerted members of the Joint Task Force (JTF), who quickly mobilized to trace the attackers. They successfully arrested a suspect identified by the elderly woman.

The Kaduna State Police Command confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody and that investigations are ongoing. The community around Millennium City, including areas like Danhono II and Keke B, has experienced repeated night attacks, raising concerns about worsening insecurity.
