Bandits Kill Five Forest Guards in Kwara Attack

In a tragic incident on April 10, 2026, bandits attacked Nuku Community in Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara State, resulting in the deaths of five Forest Guards operatives. The attack occurred in the early hours of Friday, with bandits reportedly shooting sporadically to instill fear among residents.

Eyewitnesses indicated that the assailants began firing directly, leading to the deaths of several innocent people, including newly recruited Forest Guards. This incident follows a previous assault in the same area two months prior, where bandits killed 200 individuals and abducted 176 others.

As of the time of reporting, the Kwara State Police Command had not issued an official statement regarding the latest attack, although spokesperson Adetoun Ejir Adeyemi promised to provide updates as more information became available.
