Saraki Condemns Attack on Forest Guards in Kwara State

Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, condemned the brutal attack on forest guards in Nuku Village, located in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, which resulted in the deaths of five individuals.

In a statement issued on Friday by his press officer, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki described the incident as barbaric and senseless, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic loss that not only affects the families of the deceased but the entire state. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by the forest guards in defending their community and prayed for the eternal rest of the deceased in Aljannah Firdau.

Saraki urged the people of the area to remain united in the face of this tragedy and commended the bravery of local security operatives who repelled the attack. He emphasized the need for sustained vigilance and stronger collaboration among security stakeholders to prevent such occurrences and called on relevant authorities to intensify efforts to bring the perpetrators of this heinous act to justice.
