Bandits Kill Police Officers, Civilians in Zamfara Attack

In a recent attack in Zamfara, bandits killed two police officers and three civilians during an engagement with the police. The assailants, riding on 50 motorcycles and armed with sophisticated weapons, invaded the community, prompting a swift response from the police strike unit.

During the gun duel, eleven bandits were neutralized, while several others escaped with gunshot injuries. The Zamfara Police Command, represented by DSP Yazid Abubakar, expressed regret over the loss of lives and confirmed that the injured police personnel are currently receiving treatment and responding positively.

Following the incident, Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Muhammad Bello, visited the affected community of Yarkatsinan Laka to commiserate with the families of the deceased. He reassured residents of the command's unwavering commitment to strengthening security in the area and restoring peace.
