Bandits Kill Two Policemen and Three Civilians in Zamfara

On Thursday, the Zamfara State Police Command, led by Commissioner Ahmad Bello, confirmed the killing of two policemen and three civilians in an attack attributed to armed bandits in the Yarkatsina Laka community. The incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 5:55 PM when a group of around 50 motorcyclists invaded the area.

The police strike unit responded immediately, resulting in the death of 11 bandits and injuries to several others during the exchange of gunfire. Tragically, two police personnel and three civilians lost their lives, with the police officers sustaining injuries and currently receiving treatment.

Commissioner Bello visited the affected community to express condolences and commiserate with the families of the deceased. He reassured residents of the police command's unwavering commitment to strengthening security measures and restoring peace in the area, urging the public to support security agencies with credible and reliable information.
