Zamfara Police Repel Bandit Attacks in Maru, Bukkuyum

On April 10, 2026, the Zamfara State Police Command successfully repelled two separate attacks by armed bandits in the Maru and Bukkuyum local government areas. The police personnel, led by DSP Yazid Abubakar Gusau, engaged the bandits, forcing them to retreat after a gunfight.

During the incident, four residents sustained gunshot injuries. The police spokesperson confirmed that normalcy has been restored in the area, and they are continuing patrols to monitor the situation.
