Bandits Demand N100 Million from Kebbi Community

A group of bandits has issued a threat to a community in Kebbi, demanding N100 million or they will launch an attack. The demand was communicated through a letter addressed to community leaders, warning residents not to take the message lightly.

Abba Alkali, a community leader, confirmed the receipt of the letter, which has instilled fear among residents, especially during the Ramadan period. Malam Ibrahim Bello, another community leader, expressed concern over the seriousness of the threat, urging the government to deploy soldiers for protection.

The Kebbi State Government, led by Governor Ahmed Idris, has taken action by reinforcing security in the area and collaborating with security agencies to prevent a possible attack. The Kebbi State Police Command has also been active in the region, conducting operations against armed bandits.

This threat follows a series of violent incidents in neighboring areas, including a recent attack in Woro, Kwara State, where several people were killed.
