Senator Barau Donates N100M to Kano Fire Victims

Senator Barau donated N100 million to support victims of the recent fire at Singer Market in Kano, which resulted in substantial losses for traders. During his visit, Barau expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, which he described as affecting not only the victims but the entire state and country.

The chairman of the market, Alhaji Junaidu Zakari, alongside hundreds of traders, acknowledged the enormity of the loss, which is estimated at N5 billion due to two major fire incidents in recent times. Barau pledged to facilitate the provision of modern fire control facilities to prevent future occurrences.

The visit was accompanied by Yusuf Abdullahi, the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Malam Salisu Sagir Takai, a member of the Kano State House of Assembly. The support from Barau was appreciated by the traders, who expressed gratitude for the financial assistance during this challenging time.
